The Million Dollar Party will mark a milestone for the Octopus Club: The Octopus Club will raise its One Millionth dollar.

Please join us Wednesday, August 22, for a celebration and reunion honoring the volunteers, recipients and donors over the past 18 years. You are responsible for getting the Octopus Club to the one million dollar mark in our "fun-raising". Because of our hardworking volunteers and generous donors, our neighbors living with HIV and AIDS have a place to turn when facing a financial crisis.

We will also be honoring the benefactors of the Paul Kirby Emergency Assistance Fund. Their courage and appreciation inspires us to be more active in our community and motivates us to continue working on making it a better place to live.

Please join us (and bring a friend) for music by Trent and Dave, appetizers, cocktails, and of course a champagne toast to our milestone of caring. We will reminisce, celebrate, and rededicate ourselves to continuing our "fun-raising" until the happy day when AIDS no longer challenges our fair city.

Since this is a very unique "fun-raiser", we are asking guests to donate at the level of their choosing. Suggested donation levels are: $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000!

Guests may donate at the door (cash, check, or charge) or you can charge your guest donation at www.asaustin.org.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to help us cross the million dollar mark, you can write a check to ASA and mail to Law Aldridge, 409 West 38th Street #102, 78705 or you can charge your contribution at www.asaustin.org.

"One million congratulations and kudos to the Octopus Club. ASA would not have an emergency assistance fund were it not for the good work of this amazing group of volunteers and the generosity of the community. On behalf of the clients, staff and board of ASA, thanks a million from the bottoms of our hearts."
-Lee Manford, Executive Director, AIDS Services of Austin
